The Nehalem River is most enchanting, providing a world of romanticism-- its carved out rockery, deep basins and cascading waters flow over rocks unseen. There is a majesty in its primitive fury as it winds its way through forests to the Oregon Coast. Nothing can quite match its beauty; it is a sanctuary to return to and be renewed. In this impressionist image we see a nude dipping her leg into a deep still pond of river water. She is surrounded by magnificent rock formations and the fairy like magic of the romantic terrain. The archival giclee art print offers vivid light fast color, done in a watercolor technique with glowing edges perfect for a moonlit subjective quality.

Please enjoy!

ABOUT:

How did we get here?

Pam Nayden received a Fine Arts degree from Towson University, and has been making jewelry for more than 30 years. When her mom, Donna Hoyt, retired in 2002, Pam began to teach her how to create beaded jewelry. They started Silver Sage Arts in 2007 and opened a shop on Etsy in July of 2012. Artist Statement:

Once upon a time I started selling all kinds of art work on Etsy, in many mediums. The origami birds won their focused position by popular acclaim and attention.

Most of the peace cranes for sale in this shop are priced for 1 bird, even if there are 2 or 3 birds in a photo. Some times there are sets for sale and how many birds offered in the set are described and listed, for instance 5 birds or 15 birds etc Typically if a listing for a peace crane is $ 8.00 and there are 2-3 birds in the photo the peace crane listing is
99.9 % most likely for 1 bird

Appearing in the fabulous, "Though A Glass Darkly" Treasury inspired by the 1961 Bergman film of the same name.

ABOUT MAXWELL:

I have always been passionate about Art. I have worked as an Art Director in advertising, a Creative Director of a Children’s Book Publishing Company. I have worked as a Creative Consultant for The Beatles, then Paul McCartney and published and managed Roger Mc Gough - the UK’s best selling poet.
I have written about Art too, interviewing several major contemporary artists, among them Robert Rauschenberg, Sir Peter Blake and the Photographer David Bailey. I could go on, but I’ll restrain myself.
Throughout all these years I’ve made pictures, taken photographs. I have always loved landscape and seascape- painting, drawing also in photography. Recently I have rediscovered Collage, and have produced several series in Limited Edition form.

My wife runs the shop (she is the treasury nut, loves doing them!) and I do the artworks.
