Classic 1968 photograph of Robert Kennedy with the American Flag as a backdrop. This photograph dates from the US presidential campaign during the May Oregon Primary. The photograph was taken on the Oregon Coast with a 300mm Nikkor telephoto, a personal... razor sharp favorite. Exposures were made on Kodak Ektachrome 64 film. The original transparencies and negatives have been kept in dark storage and are in pristine condition for their vintage.
Included in the forthcoming photo book: "RFK: In the Stream of History"
Selected by the RFK Center for Human Rights and the New York Transit Authority for use in a promotion (Fall 2008/Television PSA) for changing the name of the Triborough Bridge to the RFK Bridge.
Robert was a living embodiment of his slain brother. He represents the resurrection of the promise that he and his brother embodied while in the White House. That restoration, after Dallas, took many forms: Civil Rights at home, Human Rights abroad and the end of Apartheid for all people. His message and charisma and his policies were understood as ending all of the cruel and artificial divisions allowing him to bring a process of healing between people. Please enjoy... and by all means let us hear from you.

The Seattle Museum of History and Science now features his vintage Seattle skyline panoramas. ABOUT ELIZABETH GRAF:
I grew up on Long Island, New York, which is an island AND a long peninsula (connected by bridges) not far from the beach and I now live in Florida, which is a long peninsula (connected by land) -- and I am not far from the beach. From the moment I could hold a crayon I have been an artist -- and possessed a "light bulb" inside my head that was always shining. It is a wonderful way to live Life -- being creative and always inspired. I feel very lucky.
I have shown in Manhattan, upstate New York, on both coasts of Florida (including Miami and Miami Beach). For a while I had an 8 foot x 8 foot mural along Collins Avenue in South Beach. One of the paintings on this website was made into a billboard that stood for a month along the bay in Sarasota, FL.
