KESEY PHOTOS FEATURED ON THE HUFF POST
October 16, 2010, Page 4 of Article
"The year was 1976. I was going to visit Kesey with my pal photographer Clyde Keller. Clyde was unique. In 1968, while barely more than a teenager, he sent off photos to Robert Kennedy Presidential campaign headquarters in Washington and soon found himself in the company of RFK advisor Pierre Salinger, taking photos of Kennedy as he campaigned throughout Oregon. Keller created what Kesey liked best: art made magic. I never met anybody who could compress creativity into such a vital, efficient package. Clyde’s camera was a silent machine gun, he shot photos like movie directors shot film and we were soon to be off to record “Kesey World” for posterity." Text by Mark Christensen
Kinetic image faithfully depicts the enthusiasm of the crowd for their candidate, a splendid example of Kennedy's charisma. It was photographed during a political rally held in Eugene, Oregon. One of several campaign stops made during the May 1968 Oregon Primary.
Robert was the last great American politician to challenge the Washington DC Power Brokers of what is now known as the American Primacy Coalition- these are the people who transcend political boundaries- representing corporate, military, banking and government interests. They collude to protect their Empire at the expense of Civil Liberties and Human Rights. The whole world is talking about the rise of American Hegemony (Empire) and its adverse effects upon the rest of the world. JFK and RFK fatally stood against those forces!

Clyde is known internationally for his historic photographs of Robert F. Kennedy. His RFK images are featured in Rory Kennedy's documentary film, "ETHEL" which debuted at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights has recently acquired key images from Clyde's RFK portfolios for their collection. Historic photos of author Ken Kesey, William Burroughs and actor Bill Murray are featured in Mark Christensen's book Acid Christ. Clyde's portrait of actor/director Warren Beatty is the cover photo for Peter Biskind's, Star. Several vintage documentary images appear in a new NFL films project, entitled, "Fearsome Foursome" as well as Dan Forrer's upcoming HBO documentary film centering on the birth of Hip Hop music. The Seattle Museum of History and Science now features his vintage Seattle skyline panoramas. His regional portraits of surviving pioneer families (and characters) appear in several new books, periodicals and webzines, including Ken Bilderback's, Creek with No Name, a new soft cover about the history of Cherry Grove, Oregon.
Clyde is the grandson of Clyde Leon Keller, (1872-1962) an important Oregon-based Plein-Air Impressionist Painter. His portfolios can be viewed at www.clydekeller.com.

About Nancy's Peace crane Birds--
Most of the peace cranes for sale in this shop are priced for 1 bird, even if there are 2 or 3 birds in a photo. Some times there are sets for sale and how many birds offered in the set are described and listed, for instance 5 birds or 15 birds etc Typically if a listing for a peace crane is $ 8.00 and there are 2-3 birds in the photo the peace crane listing is
99.9 % most likely for 1 bird.

"That photo of Robert Kennedy was taken just weeks before he was assassinated. I truly believe that this nation would be a different place had he lived. It's such a crime!"
