RFK Stump Speech 1 RFK Stump Speech 1

The Robert F. Kennedy Stump Speech Portraits were captured by Clyde Keller at Woodburn, Oregon during a series of classic Whistle Stops he made between Portland and Eugene along the Willamette Valley corridor. Clyde captured Bobby's speech, rapid fire exposing two rolls of 35mm black and white film photographing every significant gesture and facial expression RFK made during this historic speech. This collection is descriptive of Kennedy's compelling emotional range as he spoke about the imposing threat of nuclear war. Kennedy fought to end the War in Vietnam; he pushed for Civil Rights as Attorney General; his positive vision for the advancement of peace, justice, equality and responsibility is as relevant today.

The Stump Speech Portraits were captured at Woodburn, Oregon during a series of classic Whistle Stops between Portland and Eugene along the Willamette Valley corridor. Using a 300mm Nikkor with an original motorized Nikon F I captured his speech, rapid fire as RFK continually changed expressions as he discussed the issues of American Foreign Policy, Vietnam and Nationalism. I shot two rolls of 35mm black and white film photographing every significant gesture and facial expression he made during this particular speech. This collection is descriptive of Kennedy's compelling emotional range as he also spoke about the imposing threat of nuclear war. Kennedy fought to end the War in Vietnam; he pushed for Civil Rights as Attorney General; his positive vision for the advancement of peace, justice, equality and responsibility is as relevant today.

Here is a beautiful reminder of Robert Kennedy . This portrait dates from the US presidential campaign during the May Oregon Primary. The photograph was taken at one of his Whistle Stop Stump Speeches with a 300mm Nikkor telephoto, a personal... razor sharp favorite.

Please visit a wonderful site on FB entitled, Robert F.Kennedy- Taken From Us, But Never Forgotten created by Jordan Tekelve: http://www.facebook.com/clyde.keller1?ref=profile#!/group.php?gid=2207306288

Robert was a living embodiment of his slain brother. He represents the resurrection of the promise that he and his brother embodied while in the White House. That restoration, after Dallas, took many forms: Civil Rights at home, Human Rights abroad and the end of Apartheid for all people. His message and charisma and his policies were understood as ending all of the cruel and artificial divisions allowing him to bring a process of healing between people. Please enjoy... and by all means let us hear from you.
