Documentary photo showing a Vetran, one of 300 participants in the March 17, 2007 Peace March held at Brandis Square in downtown Bend, Oregon. Similar marches were held that weekend nationally over the St. Patricks day weekend. The "Imagine Peace" March was organized by Ray Duray with the support of many concerned Citizens. The group marched to City Hall taking a tour through the main downtown streets leading to a grand loop moving away from and back to the downtown area, culminating at the historic "Old Church" where films were shown. The print was featured in a show curated by Tracy Miller, entitled, "Art of Protest, End of an Error" held at the end of 2008 in Bend, Oregon.

The ensemble has been captured during the Saturday night performance with our new Nikon D300 camera and an extraordinary razor sharp 105mm Nikkor telephoto lens... which is able to see into the "available darkness" with aplomb... utilizing the natural stage lighting and without the need for supplementary flash. Bend, Oregon Living, LINCOLN CONTINENTAL GHOST, Clyde Keller Photo "CONTINENTAL GHOST" Classic Car Show Icon This image of the Continental captures a mood that just struck me. Perhaps it was the American flags protruding from the grill, but the Lincoln just cried out be noticed. As the clouds passed overhead, the light faded giving way to a somber mood of romanticism. It felt fleetingly like a B Movie with the onrush of film noir like lighting caused by the cloud cover which drew the scene into a darker motif. In this subdued brilliance the Detroit Behemoth appeared ghost like, so to speak, as a reminder of faded dreams and former glories, stripped of its "technicolor" spotlight. I grabbed the shot... please enjoy!

This Super-Wide Panorama Interior captures the atmosphere of this most popular mecca at its Grand Opening in the early afternoon. The long awaited opening saw aisle-ways jammed "bumper to bumper" both inside of and outside the store parking lot, complete with traffic police assisting drivers, as the celebration got into full swing. This panorama commemorates the public opening in an amazing all encompassing sweep, impossible with an ordinary wide angle lens. The natural perspective has been preserved through the stitching process.

"FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW"
This 2002 Christmas Day Study is imbued with a wide ranging tonality and delicacy faithfully capturing the fresh new fallen snow at a sidewalk street crossing, located at the NW corner of Wall Street and Oregon. The pristine "No Bicycle Allowed" symbol emerges through the light blanket of snow. Revisiting this site, six years later in February 2008, confirmed a persistence of change and wear to the area from Bend's phenomenal growth. The once pristine red brick showed cracks where at the time there were none... and the bicycle graphic worn with faded color.

The Owl is shown "face-on" to heighten the sense of a flattened two dimensional plane. Within the framework of the composition, abstract line and color are juxtaposed to the three dimensional pictorial compositional elements... making for a delightful visual potpouri. Image captures clouds reflected on the hood of a 1966 Corvette Sting Ray. As illustrated the car's insignia is shown highlighted on the hood's mirror perfect finish. The interpretive image juxtaposes the abstraction of sky and clouds reflected into the natural deep blue of the mirror perfect finish on the car's hood with the classic Corvette checkered flag insignia. The flattened deadpan perspective (cropped in closely) heightens a sense of speed as if the raised cowling (center curvilinear vertical forms in the photo) were in flight... altogether an inspiring metaphor for this beloved era of American design. The car was featured as part of the annual Flashback Cruz held at Drake Park nearby downtown Bend, Oregon. It was reported that over 402 classic cars, 30 club cars and 70 vendor cars on display.
This archival giclee print offers an exquisite range of color, tone and brilliancy faithfully capturing this beloved subject. The fire (which did not destroy these homes) was contained on July 26th was human-caused. The Booth Fire (which burned concurrently) filled the Deschutes County area with dense smoke for weeks.
