Garden of Atonement
Interpretive surreal fine art print
Included in Clyde Keller's meditative Mask series
This surreal fine art print was produced from film and digital elements. It is a contemplative iconographic work, a homage to ancient influences as they leave their mark in our modern subconscious mind. The pharaohs were photographed with Kodak 2475 recording film in NW Portland, Oregon at night and are part of my 1977 Doubles Series of intriguing pairs, double entendre and concurrent coincidences. The mask is a familiar icon seen in several of my works during the past year and is used here set (in multiple transparency) against the backdrop of an Old Portland neighborhood picket fence and rose garden. The mask was photographed with my Nikon D300 and a macro Nikkor lens and the garden scene with an older Cybershot (Sonnar lens) back in 2006.
