This vintage 1980 alluring portrait of Dawn Elberta Wells (born October 18, 1938) was taken in her dressing room before she went on stage. Dawn is well known for her role playing Mary Ann Summers (America's Sweetheart - the girl next door) on the television sitcom, Gilligan's Island, from 1964 until 1967. I spent about half an hour with her for this portrait session. She was a real kick to photograph because she was constantly cutting up- I tried to keep up with her and went through two rolls of film. This timeless pose was a respite from the romp and is offered in a beautiful archival (fade proof) art print.
