Robert F. Kennedy Photo "ROSEY GRIER" Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier (b. July 14, 1932-- ) Rally for Robert F. Kennedy, May 1968 Portland, Oregon
This vintage documentary image was taken during the May 1968 Oregon Primary. It depicts a downtown political rally in Portland, Oregon where Bobby Kennedy and Rosey Grier appeared together. Rosey who is well known for playing football with the LA Rams as defensive lineman was deeply involved in the Kennedy Presidential Campaign. He is shown here during the May Oregon Primary. Following the assassination of RFK, Grier helped to apprehend Sirhan Sirhan. Kennedy (pictured left) fought for Civil Rights as Attorney General; his positive vision for the advancement of peace, justice, equality and responsibility is as relevant today. The portrait was taken with a 55mm "Micro" Nikkor lens, a personal favorite for available light razor sharp portrait photography. Exposures were made on Kodak TRI-X film.
