My vintage documentary arts photograph captures street musicians in an impromptu gathering jam session at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington.
Impromptu was part of a larger documentary project which included the popular 1981 photographic calendar, "Market & Square." The calendar was dedicated to the many people who fought for the preservation of Pioneer Square and the Pike Place Market... and to the Artisans, Farmers, Street Musicians, Merchants and everyone who has ever known the Market and Square
