On May 17, 1968-- a Mock Convention was held by the students at Sunset High School in Portland Oregon to nominate Senator Robert Kennedy to be the Democratic U.S. Presidential Candidate. Here students are shown demonstrating for their support which included the throwing of confetti as shown in this documentary photograph. Robert Kennedy's vision for nuclear disarmament, world peace and for the ending of the Vietnam War were projected to audiences world wide throughout these last few weeks before his assassination.
The camera I used for all of the Kennedy photographs was an original Nikon F with Nikkor Lenses. The photograph was taken with a 300mm Nikkor, a personal favorite for fast available light photography. Exposures were made on Kodak Tri-X B&W film. The original transparencies and negatives from my Kennedy Collection have been kept in dark storage and are in pristine condition for their vintage.
This archival B&W giclee print offers an exquisite range of tone, depth and brilliancy... faithfully capturing this important American politician. Makes a strong impression. Suitable for immediate safe viewing and ready for framing.
