"BOBBY AND FRECKLES" Catalog No. 004
The Oregon Coast images date from the May 1968 Oregon Primary Presidential Campaign. This documentary arts photograph was taken on the Oregon Coast (near Astoria) with a Motorized Nikon F equipped with an 85mm Nikkor lens, a personal favorite for pictorial photography. The moderate telephoto perspective captures Robert with his beloved dog, Freckles shown together as they made their way north along the coastline. Exposures were made on Kodak Ektachrome film. The original transparencies and negatives have been kept in dark storage and are in pristine condition for their vintage. The print faithfully captures the original vibrancy and color of the original Ektachrome transparency.

This historic documentary arts image of RFK and Freckles, entitled, "Beach Run" dates from the May 1968 Oregon Primary Presidential Campaign. The photograph was taken on the Oregon Coast with a 28mm Nikkor lens, a personal favorite for close-in documentary photography. I was positioned less than 20 feet from Kennedy for an intimate capture of this famous well published event. The wide angle perspective captures Robert with his beloved dog, Freckles shown tagging behind as they run north along the coastline.

Wonderful Civil Rights Era pictorial photograph of the Kennedy's dating from the May 1968 Oregon Primary Presidential Campaign. View includes Robert and Ethel Kennedy strolling with their pet dog, Freckles along the North Oregon Coastline near Astoria. This image captures a "decisive moment" with the ensemble of children joining Bobby, Ethel and Freckles to make a definitive image. The full 35mm frame of the original Ektachrome transparency has been preserved for the making of this print.
TECHNICAL: The camera I used for all of the Kennedy photographs was an original Motorized Nikon F with Nikkor Lenses. The photographs were taken with an 85mm Nikkor telephoto lens on "BOBBY AND FRECKLES" a 28mm Nikkor wide angle on "BEACH RUN" and an 85mm Nikkor on "BEACH WALK." Exposures were made on Kodak Ektachrome film. The original transparencies and negatives have been kept in dark storage and are in pristine condition.
