Classic 1976 Republican National Convention photograph of a gregarious Vice President, Nelson Rockefeller who is shown latching on to my hand and temporarily holding me captive. This turned out to be a splendid opportunity to make an impromtu portrait with my free hand! Using my motorized Nikon I clicked away while we both exchanged "niceties." Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller (1908-1979) was the 41st Vice President of the United States under Gerald Ford's Administration. The camera I used for all of the Republican Convention photographs were Motorized Nikons with Nikkor Lenses. The photograph was taken on the with a 24mm Nikkor wide angle, a personal favorite for fast available light work.
