Here is an impromptu portrait of one of the "old-timers" of the Haro Street Community, Lee Brown, as caught on one of his daily walks surveying the grounds around his three story apartment complex which he manages. We were parking our car in the alley behind the Buchan Hotel when Lee emerged to greet us. Like many Canadians we have met, Lee is quite amiable and willing to share his love of Vancouver and its rich history. Haro Street has the rare quality of mixing residential area homes, apartments, hotels, gardens and parks into a seamless delightful whole.
