Ken Kesey Bash - Poetical Hoo-Haw
June 9, 1976
My documentary photo depicts some of the many participants who responded to Ken Kesey's invocations he made while on the stage built for the Poetic Hoo-Haw. Upfront is Sheila who was often seen with Gary Ewing who is shown dancing directly behind her. Gary was well known in Portland, Oregon where he operated Crystal Ballroom. His fantastic Haight Ashbury style Psychedelic Light Shows accompanied the bands who played there for several decades.

This new larger rendering of the classic "Woodstock Era" documentary photo benefits from the superior giclee process. The print offers considerable graphic depth augmented by cool and warm gray quadtones in the best tradition of black and white fine art printing. The B&W negative from which this print is made is in pristine condition with little if any deterioration. Makes a strong impression with excellent scale at this larger size. Suitable for immediate safe viewing (the print is clear sleeved on foam core board) and ready for framing.
