"3 DEFINITIVE RFK PORTRAITS" Here are three special documentary arts images from the May 1968 Oregon Primary. Each is printed to the highest standard of the photographic arts. These popular images date from the May 1968 Oregon Primary.
"FACING ISSUES" Portrait captures a defiant determination at a Portland, Oregon Press Conference held during the May 1968 Oregon Primary. This pose, depicts intensity in its expression and resolve as Kennedy faced the turbulent last days of the presidential campaign... "ALL the guilt and the compassion and the pain..." Kennedy fought for Civil Rights as Attorney General; his positive vision for the advancement of peace, justice, equality and responsibility is as relevant today. Copyright © 1968 Clyde Keller.
"ALONE" Compelling portrait of this most notable American taken less than three weeks before his death. This view of Kennedy walking alone is at the Portland International Airport and was unplanned due to a lull in the schedule. I was the only photographer to view this moment. His dog, Freckles is shown accompanying him (to the stage left) in the grass. A 300mm telephoto Nikkor lens was used to emphasize the isolation. This pose, depicts one of the few quiet moments of the turbulent Oregon Primary. Freckles was always close to Robert during these last three weeks. Copyright © 1968 Clyde Keller.
"WHISTLE STOP" AWARD WINNING PRINT. Campaign Whistle Stop Photo from May 1968, taken from inside a Caboose at the Albany, Oregon Train Station. Classic Whistle Stop photograph with RFK in silhouette; this is a perfect "Decisive Moment" capturing the crowd's aspirations for change. The pose shows a cross section of supporters reminiscent of Norman Rockwell Americana subject matter, now a bygone era. Copyright © 1968 Clyde Keller.
