"PERFORMING PAUL DESMOND'S IMMORTAL, TAKE FIVE"
Featured is the Claire Wachter Trio performing Paul Desmond's immortal "Take Five" during the second half of the "Bach To Brubeck" Donor Concert held at the Bend High School auditorium. The special program was a "thank you" given to symphony supporters by the Central Oregon Symphony Association. The Donor Concert was held April 19-20, 2008. The ensemble has been captured during the Saturday night performance with our new Nikon D300 camera and an extraordinary razor sharp 105mm Nikkor telephoto lens... which is able to see into the "available darkness" with aplomb... utilizing the natural stage lighting and without the need for supplementary flash. The photo is part of a continuing series celebrating living in Bend, Oregon.
