"FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW"

This 2002 Christmas Day Study is imbued with a wide ranging tonality and delicacy faithfully capturing the fresh new fallen snow at a sidewalk street crossing, located at the NW corner of Wall Street and Oregon. The pristine "No Bicycle Allowed" symbol emerges through the light blanket of snow. Revisiting this site, six years later in February 2008, confirmed a persistence of change and wear to the area from Bend's phenomenal growth. The once pristine red brick showed cracks where at the time there were none... and the bicycle graphic worn with faded color.
