Robert F. Kennedy Up Close U.S. Presidential Campaign, May 1968 Portrait
Included in the RFK Center Collection
Intense street portrait of Robert Kennedy captured during the Oregon Primary, May 1968. This intimate portrayal came out of from the volatile May 1968 Oregon Presidential Primary Campaign as Eugene McCarthy ran against Bobby Kennedy. The pose is revealing of Bobby's soulful personality with up-close, intimate camerawork. McCarthy won the Oregon Primary and this portrait was made shortly before that election on the sidewalk outside of Portland's Benson Hotel. The camera I used for all of the Kennedy photographs was an original Motorized Nikon F with Nikkor Lenses. The portrait was taken with a 55mm "Micro" Nikkor lens, a personal favorite for available light razor sharp portrait photography. Exposures were made on Kodak TRI-X film. The original transparencies and negatives have been kept in dark storage and are in pristine condition!
16x20 inch archival giclee art print Image dimensions are @11.3x17 inches Heavyweight Epson Satin paper Signed/Dated on lower white border
Clear sleeved on foam core Shipped flat, insured with delivery confirmation This archival giclee print offers an exquisite range of tone and brilliancy faithfully capturing this important historical figure in American politics. The B&W negative from which this print is made is in pristine condition with little if any deterioration. Makes a strong impression with excellent scale ar this larger size. Suitable for immediate safe viewing (the print is clear sleeved on foam core board) and ready for framing.
NEW REVIEW "When I opened the box and saw your photos I literally gasped. This from someone who has seen thousands of RFK images. RFK "Up Close" is positively breathtaking. A gorgeous print of A+++ quality. Love them all beyond words. I can't stop looking at them. Many thanks for your great work then and great work now."
