Dancing Jack and Hotcha

Seattle Pike Place Farmer's Market String Band
Street Musicians, Summer 1980

My vintage documentary arts image captures these popular street musicians performing outdoors at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. Featured are members of the string band "Hotcha" and the ever present "Dancin' Jack."  This image was part of a larger documentary project which included the popular 1981 photographic calendar, "Market & Square." The calendar was dedicated to the many people who fought for the preservation of Pioneer Square and the Pike Place Market... and to the Artisans, Farmers, Street Musicians, Merchants and everyone who has ever known the Market and Square
