This vintage documentary arts iimage depicts this illustrious vagabond street musician, fresh fron Coquille, Oregon as he stood on 1st Street in August 1980, playing for money near the corner of Washington St. by the historic J&M Cafe. He said, "All I want is to bring a little happiness to people. If some of it comes back to me, that's all right too."

This image was included in the popular 1981 photographic calendar, "Market & Square." The calendar was dedicated to the many people who fought for the preservation of Pioneer Square and the Pike Place Market... and to the Artisans, Farmers, Street Musicians, Merchants and everyone who has ever known the market and Square.
