Andy's Horse Drawn Plow
Skagit Valley, Washington
Vintage 1980 portrait
My vintage documentary arts image captures native Andy Anderson with his grandaughter Amy Suthers doing a bit of antiquity, the feel of a plow drawn by live horse power. Photographed in the historic Skagit Valley, Washington. The figures are representative of the valley's pioneer heritage... and the last of a then living heritage. Archival print will resist fading for 250 years.
The photograph was taken as part of a photo essay on the folk of the Skagit Valley. Included as a Gallery Print and part of our permanent historical archive. The view faces east across the fertile Skagit Valley.
